NEW VOLUNTEERS ALWAYS WELCOME!! We have a wonderful team of volunteers, but will always find space on our rota for new faces. If you have a couple of hours to spare during the week... or especially at weekends.... you could make a real contribution to the life of the community. Have a look at the "Volunteers Wanted" page on this website

St Mabyn Community Shop was established by a group of villagers in 2018. Our aim is to cater for the needs of our community and visitors to the area, and having been open for over a year, we can report that we have a thriving business which has established itself as the social hub of the village where people can meet, get to know their neighbours, as well as buying a wide range of provisons. We aim to be a real community centre and have encouraged activities such as visits by children from St Mabyn School, a Cake Sale by the local Young Farmers, ticket sales for local theatre groups etc.

The shops offers a wide range of food and drink; fresh fruit and vegetables are delivered daily, as well as milk and dairy products, free range eggs, fresh bread and Pasties from Barnecutts Bakery in Wadebridge. We have a fridge full of items such as bacon, sausages, pork pies etc., and we can order special items in according to our customers' requirements. We stock a full range of daily newspapers and a variety of magazines.

Since October 2019 we also have a Post Office counter and can offer a wide range of Post Office Services.

The shop is a "Community Benefit Society". We have two very talented and enthusiastic Managers in Sarah Ward and Becca Goodfellow who split the hours between them, and a team of some 40 volunteers who give their time to ensure that the shop can work efficiently for the benefit of all; they are all local people who are more than happy to chat and share their local knowledge with visitors to the area. You can always be sure of a warm welcome in St Mabyn Community Shop!
